Wand/rods bug with epic promotion

Since I am a mad sorcerer I cannot use my wand of inferno or wand of vortex any more. I expect the same for the other wands and rods in case of the druid.
This makes me mad.

Isn't Orsha selling the northwind(?) rod still.. I bet that works with epic promo.
